DID HARAMBEE STARS MISS STRIKER DENIS OLIECH!

                             Harembe stars striker Dennis Oliech.

In a match that was played yesterday, the Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Harambee stars of Kenya by a goal to none as Ahmed Musa looped the ball over the goalkeeper nine minutes to full time.Kenyans went into the match with the courage of revenging but that did not come their way. Many people have attributed the loss to the absence of their leading striker Dennis Oliech 'The Menace.'
Oliech received a match suspension in their first leg encounter with the Eagles in Nigeria and was yesterday replaced by last season'sThika United top scorer Kepha Aswani. No Kenyan fan will assume Oliech's absence after all the sacrifices he has made for the team.Even if he fails to score, his presence alters the formation of the opponents.
Bob Oyugi, one of the great contributers of football in the country, stated that Oliech's absense left the frontline weak to break the Nigeria's defence.'Congratulations to the Harambee Stars for the ‘brave good show,We all missed Oliech in the game which should not be the case if the idea of football structures is agreeable.' Bob Oyugi commented. He went on to stress on the need to strengthen the youth structure in the country as the only solution to this problem. 'There is great need for youth structures from the grassroots'Oyugi concluded.
After the match,Kenya now lie on the bottom of group F with two points,Namibia is third with four, two points below Malawi after drawing with them yesterday in another encounter of the group.Nigeria boasts at the top with eight points. Two matches are still remaining for each team as all the teams prepare for their next fixtures next wednesday. Malawi will host Kenya with Oliech expected to return while Namibia is set to host Nigeria.
